Celebrating the ties between the traditional and the contemporary cultures of the Pacific Coast in style and sun!

Redefining community gatherings, this free afternoon extravaganza showcased music, food, art, workshops and much more. Face painting and story reading was available for kids. Tasty tropical treats were provided by the Blue Nile and the Reef while an artisans’ market featured work of local designers and artists, Food Roots provided educational displays on food security along with fresh local produce. Representatives from the Vancouver Island chapter of the SurfRider Foundation were on hand to inform the public about their environmental work where members of the surf community take part in beach clean-ups and provide environmental education in an effort to take care of our shores and oceans- acting locally while thinking globally.
